Short Bio

Lutz Mueller has worked in a wide variety of fields in the Software Industry in Europe, Latin America and the U.S.A. He has developed software for Data Acquisition in the Medical Industry, Embedded Systems in the Video Industry, Monte Carlo Simulation in Financial Modeling and for Statistics and Pattern Recognition in the field of Natural Language Processing.

Lutz Mueller earned a Masters degree and Ph.D. from the University of Hamburg, Germany, with work in Statistical Pattern Recognition in Medical Psychology. He was awarded a shared Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for his work on a fault tolerant, robot driven video spot player.

Lutz Mueller is the author of the newLISP scripting language, on which he is working full-time since 2002. newLISP has built-in functions for networking, distributed and parallel processing, statistical learning and pattern recognition.
